The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.—“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord.”

“Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.”—We all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.—When the perfect comes, the partial will pass away…. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.—Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

“Whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”—“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”—“What do you want me to do for you?” They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.” And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”—“I will put my Spirit within you…. Thus says the Lord God: This also I will let the house of Israel ask me to do for them: to increase their people like a flock.”—And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
