Does God forgive if any Christian fall into sexual immorality?

ANSWER:

All sin can be forgiven. The only sin that can’t be forgiven is rejecting Jesus (John 3:18).

When someone accepts Christ they are forgiven of past present and future sin. That includes the sin of sexual immorality, or any other sin committed after becoming a Christian. At salvation when God justifies the sinner, God is declaring the sinner absolutely right with Himself. By simply trusting Christ the sinner has been declared righteous, is born again, and has eternal life. The “eternal life” spoken of in John 3:16 is forever, it can’t be taken away. For further study listen to this teaching on Eternal Security

The free gift of life received by trusting Jesus is forever. At that moment of belief in Christ the following 51 things are true of the believer, fully, and forever. They are true regardless of feelings.

51 thing true of Every Christian

When we first trust Christ we still have the same mind, and thoughts, but it is now that God begins to change that person from the inside. Having a perfect standing before God doesn’t make sin right, or give the born again Christian a license to sin, “should we sin that grace may abound, may it never be” (Romans 6:1-2).

In Christ we now have the resources of heaven not to sin. We will still sin, and failure is still part of the Christian life, because in failure we learn not to trust ourselves but God.  However Christ now lives in us and will change us. Rebellion and unbelief will bring the discipline of God on the believer but it the discipline of a loving Father, to His child that He cares for.

Our salvation isn’t about fire insurance but about knowing Jesus (John 17:3). This is what we will be marvelling about in the “ages to come”, the kindness of God in Christ. (Ephesians 2:6) That is the greatest thing in life and eternity to pursue.
