But the fruit of the Spirit is… patience… gentleness.

“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.—Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.—But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.—Love is patient and kind. In due season we will reap, if we do not give up.—Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

“Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

“But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you.”—And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.—Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh. But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were… Jesus came and stood among them…. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them…. Then [Jesus] said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”—To us a son is given;… Mighty God.
