“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.”

And the world is passing away along with its desires.—Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!—But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end of those things is death.

“Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, it will not be taken away from her.”—I want you to be free from anxieties.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”—Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.—The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

The Spirit helps us in our weakness.

“The Helper, the Holy Spirit.”—Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?—For it is God who works in you.

We do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.—A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench.

“The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
