You, O God, are my fortress.

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior.”—The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

He will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives.—We can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.—For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.

For your name’s sake you lead me and guide me.

“Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”

“Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.”—“‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.—You,… God made alive,… having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.—As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
