Philippians 1:5(HCSB)

Verse of the Day

Paul was commissioned to take the glorious gospel of grace to the Gentiles, but his thoughts, prayers, and supplications often turned joyfully toward the Body of believing saints. His heart rejoiced knowing they were his partners in the gospel of Jesus Christ, from the moment they trusted Him as Saviour.

We are all members of Christ's Body and, like the Philippians Christians, are also partners in the glorious gospel of grace. For we were saved by grace through faith when we were baptised into Christ's Body and we are to live by grace through faith and to serve the Lord by grace through faith.

The world is filled with people who are hurting, searching, and in desperate need to hear the blessed hope of the gospel. The harvest is white but the workers are few, so let us build each other up in the Body of Christ, helping each other, loving one another and taking the gospel into the world.

May our Christian life and service be a loving partnership with the other members of Christ's Body. We are not in competition against each other but are co-workers together of the glorious gospel of grace.

Let us mirror the life of Paul who despite the hardships he faced in life prayed with joyful thanksgiving for His fellow-believers.

My Prayer

Thank You, Father, that in Christ I am a fellow worker with other members of Your Body. Help me to lift up others in prayer and praise, and to faithfully carry out my part as a member of Your Body. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
