He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

In the light of the staggering truth of this magnificent verse of scripture, we should never doubt for a moment the enormous gift of grace, that God has bestowed on all, who trust in the Son of His Love. The glory that is contained in this astonishing reality should never become so familiar that a Christian is not left profoundly humbled and deeply amazed.. when reflecting upon the reality that Christ died for our sins; was buried on our account.. and that He rose again the third day, so that all who believe on Him would not perish but have everlasting life.

There is nothing in the vastness of the universe that compares with the length and breadth, and height and depth of God’s free and unconditional love.. towards those that simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. The enormity and expanse of God’s amazing grace towards the race of mankind is without comparison. His precious blood was shed on the cross to atone for the sins of many.. and we who believe on His name, are held fast in the hands of the Father, and are kept eternally secure – in Him, forever.

By the merit of His death Jesus paid our debt for sin.. and the wages of sin is death. But God did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up, for love of US… so that His death would pay the full price of our sin, and through His glorious resurrection.. we would receive newness of life

In the light of this staggering truth, should we not praise and thank Him ceaselessly.. knowing this was the first step in the journey of His everlasting grace.

My Prayer

Loving Father, thank You for this staggering truth that you chose to give up Your only begotten Son as the purchase price for me. Forgive me for the times when I have doubted or questioned Your love. I praise Your name for the full-assurance of Your never-failing love and boundless grace, which You have poured out on me without measure.. in the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. AMEN
